The Sunday Post : A Little Productivity

Sunday has now become a day where I grab my laptop, wrap up in my bed and don’t leave until about 8pm when I realise I actually have school work to do. But there are a few Sundays where productivity is on the agenda; only for a little bit though. But don’t get me wrong, I always schedule in a little bit of bed and laptop time. I’d feel a bit lost if I didn’t. This Sunday, if you still classify it as the beginning of the year, I took it upon myself to document this Sunday to share with you.

No weekend morning is complete for me without a delayed breakfast but I think I can complete my future weekend mornings without these flourless pancakes. I gave into the hype and didn’t like it too much. But oddly enough, I plan to make this a trial and error recipe of mine to find the right taste for my liking. One portion of productivity came in the shape of blog photography. I finally came up with a few blog post ideas and had to create these visual images that were taking over the thoughts in my mind. Expect to see these real soon.

Whilst I had a few posts up my sleeve, I’m still on the hunt for some. This blogging rut that I am in seems to be never ending and I hope to utilise these idle blogging days to come up with at least a month’s worth of content. Laptop time fast approached and I began it with an Essie Button video. It fills me with joy on top of being in bed with my laptop. That big Primark bag you see haunts me. It is a constant reminder of how much money I have spent recently, things I have ordered that still haven’t come yet and how much I want to film a haul for you guys to see it all. It reminds me of how all too familiar I am with the feeling of regret.

Yes it has hit around 8pm (well a little closer to 10.30pm I would say) and I must do all of my work at the last minute because I didn’t have 6 other days or the Christmas break to do it. Luckily I did my homework the night before and I only really had to do a little bit of revision. Hopefully my exam goes well. I gave myself a double treat today as there were some chocolate puddings calling my name from the fridge. Served hot with a spoonful of ice-cream creates an indescribable feeling of joy in your mouth. The satisfaction is just simply unbeatable. And what better way to relax than with a bath and lemon scented bubbles. Perfection in a bottle I say.

Collating all of this week’s non-existent interesting activities would mean that I would bore you with the amount of naps I took and would also mean Id hand my head in shame because I should have been revising. So whether it is the whole week, the weekend or just Sunday, the Sunday posts are now a thing on the blog. I hope this post got you craving the future ones and hopefully it wasn’t too wordy or rambly for your liking. I know I can get annoying sometimes.

Tell me how your Sundays go below J

(*Disclaimers: the first two of these posts will be in reference to the week before it is uploaded as I am on a little backlog of posts but, after two they will then revert to being in reference to the week that it is posted.)

Testing Testing 1 2 3 | Holy Chic

Today I thought I would mix it up a little and just share with you some new things I am trying out/trying to do. I thought I would throw in some things other than beauty products because that seemed like a cool idea

For starters I am trying to read more. I whipped the kindle out and tried to rekindle (you get it, you get it…ah okay) my love for reading. Not working out too great so far but I’m hanging on in there to hope that I can love it again. I am trying to finish my nivea lip balm. That picture is an accurate representation of how much is left and it gives me pure joy to know that I have almost done the impossible.

I have been using elastics more to experiment with different hairstyles and #daclip to stop the kinks. Wearing a watch because I was very anti watches but this one has grown on me now and I feel naked without it on sometimes.  I’ve been experimenting more in the skincare department with smoothing facial scrubs and really seeing smoothing it can be

And finally I’ve been trying cream deodorants like wtf?! It’s weird but quite wonderful. And some new makeup-y bits like throwing my eyeliner back into my routine, a new mascara and the oh so loved spooley brush.

As text heavy as this post was and the sincerity behind my apology, have you been trying anything out recently?

Bloggers Do Collections Better | Holy Chic

It is time for the next instalment of the #Bloggersdoitbetter challenge and today its collections. I could have easily gone for a makeup collection but today its fashion and to be more specific, the Zara TRF collection which I am obsessed with. I have picked out a few of my favourite picks for summer and I thought I would share them with you

Striped Dress – this will always be a staple piece in a wardrobe and it looks really light airy and would be great with a pair of flatform sandals and the backpack also featured in this post

Crossover back top – this monochromatic top again is really keeping in with this black and white summer we are having. But again this would be great with a blazer and shorts and some heels to dress it up or some boyfriend jeans and converses for an effortless daytime look

Lime Green Skirt – I thought I should add a splash of colour for you but if this is not for you, they have it in grey J this wrap around skirt is a really simple piece that would work great for a beach cover up or a casual party

Slogan T shirt  - you can’t really not buy this t shirt because I think it is applicable to almost the entire population. Basic graphic tees are great regardless with some jeans, leather jacket and some converses. Trust me, if it’s a day where you can’t be bothered to put effort in your outfit, this will work a treat for you

Printed Shorts – printed shorts serve as a great base if you find it difficult to add colour into your outfits because it does it all for you. You could pair with a basic white t shit and sandals and could accessorise with coloured jewellery to match the shorts

Black Sandal Heels – heels are or should be or... I don’t know really a girl’s best friend. These dress up any outfit even if it is jeans and a top. And stay tuned on my blog where I might just be incorporating these into an outfit

Jeans  - light wash, boyfriend fit, distressing, perfection. I think almost everyone owns a pair of these now because they are so versatile and could be worn with the graphic t or even the black and white strap top. But a styling post is coming on these types of jeans very soon J

Rucksack  - if you aim to travel this summer, this bag will be your best friend. Very chic and  because it is black will go with anything but of course you could opt for a side bag if that is more for you

So I hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments if you like or have purchased anything from the TRF collection.

See you soon with a new post J
