Buy and Try: April | Holy Chic

How and when did it become the end of March! I honestly cannot believe it. It’s literally insane to me. But because it is the end of March, that can only mean one thing, it’s the April instalment of my Buy and Try series!

As per usual, if you don’t know what my buy and try series is, it is basically where every month I will go out (or over the course of the month) and find products that I really want to try. Then in the next post, I will show you some new things that I picked up to try and review the things that I tried in the month before.

But before you continue reading this, I highly suggest that you check out March's buy and try post now here so that you can see what the actual products are that I was trying out and also get to know my initial thoughts on the products.

Okay now that hopefully you have done that, I will give you a brief review and my thoughts on everything I tried last month so let’s get started.

1.       Nspa revitalising vitamin toning mist: I don’t think I fully understood the purpose of this and I think it was kind of unnecessary for me to have but I was very cooling on the skin and set my makeup in place for the most part!

2.       L’Oreal eye makeup remover: this again was really good and removed my makeup so freaking well but I do feel that it is probably just better of only having the L’Oreal micellar solution because it does everything in one go and you don’t need to have like two different bottles. But the eye makeup remover one doesn’t sting as much as the micellar solution so I would just say that it is worth the try and it is really really good.

3.       Simple facial gel wash: this I feel didn’t do much and I am glad I bought the travel size because I don’t think I will be using it that often. But maybe I will start using it again when I go on holiday. I didn’t really do much so I wouldn’t waste your money.

4.       Nivea essential care lip balm:  this moisturises my lips really well and hydrates them and keeps them soft throughout the day. Nothing more to say really. It’s just a great basic to have on you at all times.

5.       Nspa nourishing eye and lip treatment: I was using this on my eyes mostly although it was soft on my lips but on my eyes, I noticed a bit more of a difference. It was very moisturising and reduced puffiness under my eyes as well as dark circles. But throughout the day, you can really start to feel it under your eyes and it feels very thick, heavy and uncomfortable to have on.

Okay so that is the end of the review of all the products I tried for the month of March. Overall, the products I tried were good.  If you have any additional questions, let me know in the comments and I will try and answer them for you ASAP.

Okay so now on to the products I will be trying out for the month of April.

1.       First, I have the Garnier mineral Invisible 48hr deodorant. This looked so intriguing on the shelf and it was calling out to me so I had to buy it. As I love the Nivea invisible deodorant both spray and roll on, I wanted to see how this compared. I got this on offer for £1.50

2.       Next, I have the Estee Lauder Pure colour eyeshadow palette/trio. The colours in it are Tea Biscuit, Honey Drop, Camouflage and Cinnamon. This was a present from my mum but I thought I would put it in here. From first swatch, the pigmentation seems really good.

3.       Next is the Simple Soothing Facial Toner. I have wanted to try this for the longest time and I finally found it on offer form £2 and I just had to get it. I have heard so many people say great things about it that I just had to try it out for myself.

4.       Next is a nail polish by sinful colours and this is in the colour Rise and Shine. This is a really large size for only £2 and I thought it was similar to the OPI bottles and I thought I would give it a whirl.

5.       And finally I have the Argan Oil Hair Treatment. I have wanted to try this for so long and I am so glad I finally got my hands on it. Now I have already used it but I will give a more in depth review at the end of the month and that one time I used it encouraged me to buy more because I did wonders to my hair and this is from the 99p store.

So there you have it, all the products I will be trying out for April. Don’t forget to come back beginning of May (can you believe it! May already!) to find out my overall thoughts and the new products I will be trying out.
