What do you want to do after university?

Aside from my internet lifestyle, I work a lot with kids educating them about their options post 16 and 18. We run a variety of sessions and at 90% of the sessions, we have a Q&A section at the end. And someone always asks the dreaded question, “what do you want to do after university?”. Now, this is a valid question to ask but asking that to a current uni student, they are always reluctant to answer. We don’t mean it in a rude way, we just don’t want to think about leaving the safe haven of university.

I have always thrived off being busy. And although I have uni max three days a week, I will always find other things to do to keep me going. But as I am in the final term of my final year, I’ve realised that this is it. I will be stripped of my student identity and I will have to be an actual adult with actual responsibilities. I always knew that was coming, but a part of me thinks I wasn’t quite prepared for this day coming up. I think kids are always curious to see what we want to do with the rest of our lives, but my answer is always I don’t know, but that’s okay. I am only nearly 21 years old and I can’t know what the future holds.

Coat – check in store, was on sale!

Starting uni really changed my outlook on things; to never say no to free food or other freebie, to always apply because that way, at least you tried and to keep going. But most importantly, the possibilities are endless. Without me even realising, I could go into a job that doesn’t even exist yet. I have said yes to so many great opportunities and has made me reconsider so many different things. I don’t just have to stay in the UK, my degree is a valid career path (as a media student) and I really can do whatever I want (within reason)

So what am I going to do after uni? I’m going to hopefully get a job, move back to London, get a flat, continue creating and see where life takes me. All those things I just wrote, I was too scared to even think about only 2 years ago. To be honest, I am just bullshitting my way through life like I do my essays and its okay that I don’t know what’s next. My university journey is coming to an end but that doesn’t mean I don’t have another great one coming up.

Stay woke

Outfit snippets #4 | Holy Chic

I’m back, this post is back and I intend to do more you know if the weather stops being poopy and freezing. Let’s cut the chit chat yeah?

I must warn you though, for this outfit snippets I went a little overboard with the photography so consider this my outfit snippets photoshoot and I promise they won’t be this long again J

Today I went for the all black look and I wore a black v neck t shirt, black skinny jeans (Primark) and the good old black converses. Thought I would put a teeny bit of colour back into it with my chunky knit scarf from new look and my dark grey hoodie from Primark. I then had my school bag from H&M and rings from Primark. Can you tell that I love Primark?

I did all of this while I had 4 hours spare time so I think that it why I experimented a little more but I hope you like it and I hope this gave you some outfit inspiration

But that is not all my friends. if this was not enough for you, I have three more outfit ideas for you guys over on my youtube channel. send me some love and check out the vid: http://youtu.be/Vj33iEXHpSI

Outfit snippets #3 | Holy Chic

You guys seem to love these post, I actually have a lot of fun photographing them particularly when I have lots of frees during the day. So here it is, outfit snippets #3 (p.s. I’m sorry this is quite short)

The cosiest jumper I have ever worn was so reasonably priced at £6 from Primark and is the perfect transitional item, Primark jeans, my trusty black converses and my oversized black hoodie. A real autumnal outfit in my opinion especially because my jumper is that army green colour.

Tell me your thoughts on the outfits below

Outfit snippets #1 | Holy Chic

Seeing as I am still unable to do full length pictures for OOTDs most of the time, I thought It would be a nice idea to do outfit snippet posts once in a while

And seeing as autumn seems to have hit us rather abruptly recently, I think now would be the perfect time to begin this

This day I wore my maroon converses because they are the epitome of autumn. A also wore my basic black skinny jeans, black and white plaid shirt and hoodie. And finally some dainty accessorising pieces with two rings and my watch which I suddenly feel naked without if I don’t wear it everyday

I hope you liked this and hopefully I can do this a little more often

Have a great day and see you all with a new post very soon J

Wishlist #2 | Holy Chic

I have been a crazy scroller through the internet lady lately and I found even more things that I wanted to add to my wishlist. I am literally trying so hard to not go mad and buy everything but that’s why I share some of this pain with you guys.

River Island chunky T bar shoes / River Island Check Shirt / River Island Reform Jeans  / Topshop Floral Dress / New Look Lace Up Boots / New Look Chunky Heeled Boots / New Look A Line Mini Skirt / H&M Loafers / Zara Striped Dress / Nixon Watch / New Look Knit Cardigan / Topshop Skater Skirt

Like in wishlist #1, I have a very simple wearable style and because I had back to school in mind at the time, I knew that with these few pieces, I could come up with a few weeks’ worth of outfits. I like to keep it simple allowing me to dress pieces up or down and mix and match them with existing items in my wardrobe.

If you were looking for clothes inspiration I hope this helped J

Have a great day
