There couldn't be a better time to celebrate

Fast forward 3 years and I have finished university. Doesn’t 3 years sound like a hell of a long time? Well I tell you what, it really just flew by. I moved out with all of the first years and thought wow, you really have a whole adventure right in front of you to look forward to and now I’m moving on to different things.

Now that I have finished, it has been a really great time to reflect on everything that I have done, achieved, accomplished, the friends I have made, the things I have done but also to celebrate.

This month with Co-op, I a going to share with you how I celebrated with their various party food and snack options. I got together with a few of my friends, and my cat as you will see, and we just had a chilled day in the garden with lots of different foods to pick at and just great chats.

Always remember that the hard work you do is never for nothing and it will pay off. Some things in life aren’t instant but it will pay off.

The Sunday Post : #2

Last week was not the nicest of weeks I have had due to mocks starting but as it got closer to the weekend, I warmed up a little more to it. With still many hours spent glued to my computer screen, I did manage to find time to do some revision, a little blog post writing and picture taking, filming and editing. Its sounds like a lot more that what I actually managed to complete. On top of that, I finally got my offer from my first choice university but now I have the brain hammering decision of choosing between a Russell group university or one that I haven’t stopped talking about for months on end. I mean it’s my life really so I shouldn’t take this decision too lightly. But the idea of going to university has really settled within me and I am anxiously awaiting that next chapter of my life (only 7/8 months away!!!).

Also, last week was a period of renovation. I had a giant wall filled with my most loved bands, artists and a few friends thrown in the mix. But change is something that bites you in the arse and gnaws at you until you do something. So I took my good old memory card to boots, printed off a few pictures because they are surprisingly costly, and put my favourites up on the wall. It is not to the scale or enormity as it was before but it is now just a tad more special and meaningful.

On another note, this week also became a period of reflection. How much I need to up my game at school but also about me, how I am living three completely separate lives from one another and how much of an independent soul I am. Too philosophical for a Sunday?

Blogging wise, I am thinking a blogging schedule is appropriate. Not really set in stone but to have an idea in the back of my mind of ideally when I would like to post. Something so permanent can give me a little fright and stress me out more than necessary.  I’m thinking Wednesdays and Sundays and any bonus post mostly Tuesdays and Fridays or for the most part, any day I wish. I don’t want to be confined to these days but you know a little more structure means I can be a little more organised.

And we have reached Sunday again and its homework catch-up day as well as mocks revision. I mean there is nothing new here.

I am going to start writing these posts and uploading them on the week they are referring to. I will try to fit this into my hectic schedule because these posts are somewhat calming to write.

Haul : BTS | Holy Chic

With the numerous wishlists I have been posting recently, you didn’t think I went the whole time without picking up a few things did you?

Well fear not, this haul is for you. I didn’t pick up the greatest amount of things because full time unpaid sixth form student but I picked up a few things I felt were a necessity for my wardrobe.

 

I love my jeans and t shirts because they are comfortable and easy to wear. Cardigans are my holy grail item and a must have item for me and the dress was kind of just for fun but I wanted a more school appropriate dress. You feel me? I also picked up some H&M joggers because they are the bomb.com!

And as an added bonus, because this is kind of a back to school haul, I picked up some school supply essentials and a hair product because, sometimes, you have to restock on a few things.

Post 16 | Holy Chic

*WARNING : text heavy post*

I hope the title of this post didn’t sound too formal or off putting or a little frightening but basically, today I wanted to impart some of my wisdom onto you guys. I am now going into year 13 and I thought I would share with you what I learnt about being in year 12

With privileges come responsibilities: yes I know as soon as you get to year 12, you are allowed to do more things but you are also seen as a role model for the rest of the school so try to do your best at that

Wearing your own clothes: it’s all exciting when you get to go shopping for different clothes to wear to school but don’t get hung up on something new to wear every day. No one is paying attention to if you have worn that before. Wear what you want and feel most comfortable in. if you would like some clothes ideas, check out my most recent wishlist post. Making clothes wearable and the simplicity of the outfit is the way to go

Be on the ball: year 12 does matter no matter what people say. If you don’t do well, you don’t go onto year 13. Simples. Not that this should frighten you but time management is key so revise where possible, complete all tasks, take notes, ask for help too if necessary and try and do as much work experience as possible and join in clubs and participate in events around school. Believe me this will help you A LOT. UCAS will start and it might seem overwhelming but you will get the support you need.

Have fun:  I think being treated more like a grown up is what people tend to forget about moving into year 12. You can have fun. Having a social life is a part of it. It’s okay if you want to hang out with friends you are allowed to. Your social life isn’t completely eradicated I promise ;)

What you need: folders, stationary and a shit tonne of paper. I kid you not, you will need a lot of paper if your teachers ask you to have folders. Stay organised with various folders and plans your time effectively

I hope I didn’t make you even more scared for moving into year 12. I promise you, you will enjoy it and remember work hard, play hard. If you work for it, you will get the grades you want in the end

Have a great rest of your day and also enjoy your school year ;) (Also, if you are going into year 7, please enjoy those years in school. They are the easiest, most care free and the best years I promise and guess what, it gets better as you go up the school J )

Wishlist #1 | Holy Chic

This is most definitely not the first wishlist I have done but let’s just pretend it is. One of the hardest things in life I think is waiting for a cheque to clear in the bank and this is where wishlists come into action. With school fast approaching and the tears rolling down my face, I thought I would put together a few items I would be sure to pick up on my next shopping trip yet also things I thought are great basics for back to school.

It’s not a lot but for me it is all about simplicity. I try to go for low key colours so they go with everything. A pair of jeans, top and some sneakers are pretty much what I wear on a daily basis. Some dainty jewellery pieces to accessories with, a jacket for the ever changing weather and a school bag. (p.s. I already own this bag but because I love it so much, I am soo buying it again). And finally a dress/skirt and boots for any events I may need to look more presentable for at school.

So stop dreading the fact that school is fast approaching and start thinking about the fact that you have cute clothes to wear J
